New Moons are most commonly known to represent new beginnings. It is ideal to perform any manifestation magic at this time because with each day after the new moon, the size of the moon increases until it is full. Witches that are known to work with darker energies refer to this moon as the Dark Moon and use this time to work with enemy retribution, justice and revenge magic.
Full Moons are the most well-known and easiest to spot since it is most visible in the night sky. Full moons typically last three days; the day before the full moon, the day of the full moon and the day after. This is when the moon reaches its most potent energy and is the perfect time for any type of magic that requires a lot of celestial power.
Libra Season (September 23 – October 22) – If your birthday falls earlier in the month of October, you are a Libra. Libras are known to carry the energy of balance, harmony and justice and are represented by the scales. This reflects Libra’s fixation on equilibrium and obsession with symmetry in all areas of their lives.
Scorpio Season (October 23 – November 21) – If your birthday falls on or around Halloween, you are a Scorpio, which means you are not only one of the most psychic zodiac signs, but also the most mysterious. Scorpios are naturally Kings and Queens of the dark mysteries and the occult. As a water sign, they use their emotions to tap into their natural born abilities.
Jupiter will be going into Retrograde on October 9th and will not become Direct until February 4, 2025, for exactly 118 days. Whoa! What does this mean? When a planet goes into retrograde, it is a period of time when that planet is no longer facing Earth and therefore, its energies will no longer be affecting our everyday lives. It is normally seen as a time of rest, where the planet goes on vacation. Since Jupiter is a planet of joy, expansion, wisdom and growth, it directly is related to our future goals. Jupiter has been traveling through Gemini since May 2024, bringing with it mental curiosity, education, diligent research and plans for expansion. Once Jupiter shifts gears into retrograde, we may notice less noise, a lack of outward focus on intellectual endeavors. It is a time to turn inward and unwind.
